| ART CLASS: Art Class offers youth the opportunity to express their creativity through a variety of media used on projects throughout the semester. Students will learn different types of art and will experience hands-on opporutnities to create art for themselves and for the community. BOOK CLUB: Book Club encourages youth in a love for reading, development of their reading comprehension, and literary expression in response to themes discussed in the text. This semester's book is The Tale of Despereaux written by Kate DiCamillo. Wednesdays from 4-5:15pm (February 22 - May 2, 9 Sessions); NorthStar House (700 8th Ave West); 4th & 5th Graders; No Fee
TUESDAY GROUP: Tuesday Group is a youth group experience for 4th graders based on Bible Study and weekly field trips to sites around Birmingham. Tuesdays, 4-5:15pm (February 21 - May 1); $15 Activity Fee
FRIDAY GROUP: Friday Group is a youth group intended to invest in and encourage 5th graders on the brink of transition to Middle School. Youth meet weekly at NorthStar and enjoy a snack, group game or activity and Bible Study. Fridays, 4-5:15pm (February 24 - May 4); NorthStar House (700 8th Ave West); No Fee
TUTORING: FREE Tutoring held from 4-5pm Mondays through Thursdays at Smithfield Library. Kids from any school are welcome! Click here for the tutoring informational flyer.
TRANSPORTATION: We offer transportation for kids from Princeton Elementary to all After School Programs. Youth participating in NorthStar Soccer Club will be offered transportation from the After School Programs to Soccer Practice on practice days. The Fee for Transportation for Art Class, Book Club and Friday Group is $5 (Tuesday Group Transportation Fee included in price of activity).
